We met with Ginny Eames of People United Bank about current topics in mortgage financing in the Vermont towns of Woodstock, Pomfret, Barnard, Reading, Bridgewater and Hartland. This 25+ year veteran of Woodstock Vermont real estate financing knows her stuff.

Meet Chad Herrin of Herrin’s Septic Tank Cleaning on-site in Woodstock VT trying to find the septic tank of a failed septic system.  A REALTOR’s job, at least at Snyder Bassette Real Estate Group, isn’t just showing houses and taking listings.  John Bassette interviewed Chad and helped out along the way.

Chad goes on to show us a high-tech way of finding the septic tank with a floating sensor you flush down the toilet.  Bermico piping used to be the “end-all-to-be-all”, now it just needs to come out of the ground and be replaced. It often caves or implodes over time (from the weight of the ground or driving over it).  At that point effluent gets stuck and you have a mess on your hands.
